Ginger Spencer has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003 and is the proud owner of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy. Ginger's dream of Heartfelt Community has been germinating since 2010, and she is more than thrilled to see this organization begin to bloom! Ginger loves her career as a LMT, teaching and even more so learning. In her free time she enjoys traveling and pottery.
Pastor Bill West recently retired from Severn Church in Gloucester, VA after 17 years of service. He retired from Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding as a Manager of Inspection in 2015 after 42 years of service. In his free time, he enjoys playing softball in a senior league in Williamsburg, VA.
Anna is a graduate of Rappahannock Community College with an Associates Degree in Health Science. While working at the front desk of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy, Anna was introduced to Heartfelt Community. She enrolled in the non-profit as its first volunteer! Anna has a heart for serving and in her free time enjoys reading and cooking.
Robyn currently works as a field nurse for the Maryland Department of Health COVID-19 Congregate Care Group and also works as a dialysis nurse for Fresenius Kidney Care in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. In her free time, she enjoys traveling back to Virginia to visit family and friends as well as go to football games to support her nephews in their football endeavors.
Kathy Pope is a retired federal service professional with over 33 years of experience. In her position as a contract specialist and contracting officer for the Navy, she specialized in negotiating and awarding contracts for construction, repair, design, engineering, and facilities support services. Currently serving as the treasurer of Heartfelt Community, Kathy manages the organization's finances and provides strategic guidance. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Kathy finds fulfillment in volunteering, particularly in retirement and elderly communities. She values spending time with her loved ones, reading, cooking, traveling, and studying various eras of history.
Kathy has a Masters in Early Childhood Special Education, with a career in early intervention, serving infants and toddlers with special needs. She recently retired as the Director of the Rural Infant Services Program (RISP) in the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck after 30 years. Kathy enjoys volunteering with various organizations, including Heartfelt Community, Gloucester NAACP, Healthy Families, and Abingdon Episcopal Church. Her additional interests include reading, traveling, spending time with family, becoming more fit, and continuing to evolve as a better human being. Kathy and her husband Jim have a much-loved family, including two grown children, two teenage grandchildren and four nieces and nephews and their families spread around the globe.
Ashley Sosa is a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom who finds her strength and inspiration in her love for Jesus. Before embracing full-time motherhood, Ashley enjoyed a fulfilling career at Newport News Shipbuilding where she spent nearly 15 years working her way up from a temp secretary with an associate's degree to a planner 3 with a bachelor's degree. During the pandemic, she took a bold step to leave the shipyard and open her own small business. She adored being a business owner and met wonderful people in the community including Ginger, Heartfelt Community's founder and President. Ashley and Ginger connected in 2021 as members of Lighthouse Church and have been close friends ever since. Ashley later chose to close her small business to devote more time to her family and serving the community she cherishes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time by the water, traveling to visit loved ones, and encouraging those around her.
