Ginger Peer-Spencer
Founder/President/Executive Director
Ginger Spencer has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003 and is the proud owner of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy. Ginger's dream of Heartfelt Community has been germinating since 2010, and she is more than thrilled to see this organization begin to bloom! Ginger loves her career as a LMT, teaching and even more so learning. In her free time she enjoys traveling and pottery.
Anna Robbins
Vice President
Anna began her journey with Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy in 2021 at the front desk and has grown into the role of Manager. She also serves as Vice President of Heartfelt Community.
Anna is a graduate of Rappahannock Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Health Science. While working at the front desk of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy, she was introduced to Heartfelt Community and became the nonprofit’s first volunteer.
Anna has a heart for serving others and values her role within both organizations. In her free time, she enjoys reading and cooking.
Kathy Pope
Treasurer
Kathy Pope is a retired federal service professional with over 33 years of experience. In her position as a contract specialist and contracting officer for the Navy, she specialized in negotiating and awarding contracts for construction, repair, design, engineering, and facilities support services. Currently serving as the treasurer of Heartfelt Community, Kathy manages the organization's finances and provides strategic guidance. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Kathy finds fulfillment in volunteering, particularly in retirement and elderly communities. She values spending time with her loved ones, reading, cooking, traveling, and studying various eras of history.
Ashley Sosa
Secretary
Ashley Sosa is a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom who finds her strength and inspiration in her love for Jesus. Before embracing full-time motherhood, Ashley enjoyed a fulfilling career at Newport News Shipbuilding where she spent nearly 15 years working her way up from a temp secretary with an associate's degree to a planner 3 with a bachelor's degree. During the pandemic, she took a bold step to leave the shipyard and open her own small business. She adored being a business owner and met wonderful people in the community including Ginger, Heartfelt Community's founder and President. Ashley and Ginger connected in 2021 as members of Lighthouse Church and have been close friends ever since. Ashley later chose to close her small business to devote more time to her family and serving the community she cherishes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time by the water, traveling to visit loved ones, and encouraging those around her.
Lindsey Johnson
Board Member
Lindsey Johnson is a citizen of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe in Charles City, Virginia where she previously served as Deputy Tribal Administrator. Her professional career includes nonprofit community health, tribal government, and academia. Lindsey holds a B.S. in Human Services and M.S. in Nonprofit Administration, as well as certifications as both a Professional Medical Coder and Tribal Human Resources Professional. She is the owner and CEO of Lunah Consulting Solutions, LLC and also serves as the Community Liaison Specialist for the Virginia Center on Aging at VCU. Lindsey is currently the vice-chair of the SPAN Center Advisory Council. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
William West
Advisory Board Member
Pastor Bill West recently retired from Severn Church in Gloucester, VA after 17 years of service. He retired from Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding as a Manager of Inspection in 2015 after 42 years of service. In his free time, he enjoys playing softball in a senior league in Williamsburg, VA.
Shari Bullock
Board Member
Shari is a sales specialist with decades of experience in the real estate industry, where her specialties include marketing, customer service, systems improvement, negotiations, and communication. She was introduced to the Heartfelt Community through a family member and instantly connected with its vision to serve the local senior community. After volunteering at a Heartfelt event, she knew she wanted to be part of the future vision of the organization. Outside of work, Shari enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being in nature.
